Artists and Guests of Caribou Ranch...

Caribou Ranch Recording Studio in Colorado is the home of many world-renowned musical creations that were composed by legendary artists who came to stay as guests. They came to escape the hustle and bustle of their paparazzi-filled lives. The Caribou Ranch allowed them to experience creativity in the one-of-a-kind beauty and solitude of the Colorado Rockies.

The recording studio, located in a valley just outside of Nederland, Colorado, produced more than 45 top ten albums, 18 Grammy awards, and 20 number-one Billboard hits. Over the years, over 150 artists paid a visit to the Caribou Ranch Recording Studio where they had the beautiful scenery and isolation to enjoy along with unrestricted access to the best recording equipment in the industry. It became many iconic artist’s favorite destination for recording their most noteworthy albums.

Outside of using the recording studio, the artists that stayed as guests at the Caribou Ranch took part in the many outdoor activities available, exploring the terrain on all-terrain vehicles, wildlife watching, and hiking through the backcountry without bodyguards — a luxury that was hard to come by for the majority of these artists. Most artists would exercise and rehearse throughout the day, enjoy fine dining from their personal chef, and then spend long nights locked away in the recording studio producing works of art that would go down in music history.

If it weren’t for the wildfire that partially burned down this iconic ranch in 1985, the recording studio capable of mastering platinum albums could have possibly been the source of more legendary tracks for decades to come. Now that its glory days have passed, we memorialize the music studio and the legendary records recorded there by providing Caribou Ranch Recording Studio memorabilia and other vintage collectibles for people to cherish the history and allow it to continue to live on.
